From general foreman to Executive Chairman — the story of a builder who turned technical craft into national impact.
The Story
William Oppong-Bio earned his Diploma in Building Technology in 1970 and began his career on the ground — as a general foreman, then a supervising draughtsman, then an engineering assistant. That hands-on grounding in how things are actually built has shaped everything since.
In 1987 he took the helm of Supercare Group Limited as Managing Director, later Executive Chairman, building it into a diversified group spanning engineering, real estate, manufacturing, agribusiness and mining. His training at the Trane Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning School in Golbey Epinal, France (1987–1989), anchored the group's founding engineering discipline.
From a single discipline — refrigeration — to dams, farms and factories that move a nation forward.
Today, as majority shareholder and Executive Chairman, he combines deep technical expertise with the business development instinct to finance and deliver projects at national scale.
